Nakayama Munetoshi says: “I make background music for my hair salon using five synthesizers I’ve got set in the wall next to the cash register. They’re set up with different tunes and wavelengths so that music loops up and changes slowly throughout the day. I’ve got sound spreading through the shop until I switch it off at night. Instead of using DAW, I prefer to do one take recording using tape loops, circuit bending, sampling, and analog synthesizers. The sounds in my space can be really low bass noises. Like achromatic sounds. This album is just a sample of what’s going on day to day in my shop.”
