Without taking in consideration my Berlin Atonal review, my last music post is from May 6… It’s not that I didn’t have time, rather more I did not came across anything that captured my attention enough to recommend it here at godisaglitch.com. But now, in the last weeks I found myself with plenty of new releases that A. I was waiting for or B. I just discovered and fell in…
If you read already the first part of this review of Berlin Atonal 2017, you already know I'm taking you through an audio-visual journey spiced up with some mushrooms, just to refresh your mind. As I commented in part 1, my vision of the festival, my highlights are extremely a personal choice, and I’m happy that I shared conversations during the festival where other people have different views. Also I…
Here is my very personal review of the past Berlin Atonal 2017, and I say very personal because first, it’s always a personal choice and taste, and second because my Atonal experience is always an inner journey, indeed the original title of this review was "Atonal on mushrooms”. But somehow I don’t want to make of this a sensational thing like a vice-kind-of-article. So first things first, an introduction: Berlin…
I discovered the work of Ancestral Voices back in 2015 with the album “Night Of Visions” released on Samurai Music Group, which somehow surprised me as I identified this label with more dance-floor oriented electronic music. The first thing that called my attention was its cover artwork and also his artistic name, I felt instantly connected with it and I knew I would enjoy the trip. And now with his…
This week has been musically pretty exciting, and I just say that because this week I found several albums that kept me hooked. I could review all them in one post but I think each of them deserve proper attention. So, let’s go with the first one: the new album from Justin Walter for Kranky record label. I didn’t know Walter’s work but I had a pretty good reference with…
I think it was last year when I discovered Terminal Dream, a music label from Russia run by Pixelord and Gultskra Artikler. If just the name alone of Pixelord is a great reference to catch my attention, the name of the label (Terminal Dream), their own definition as ``Psychedelic label`` and their artworks made it all easy for falling in love with it. So, I have been going back to…
It’s been a while from my last music recommendation, so today instead one I offer you four inspiring works / artists. My music hunger is always pushing me to dig in internet (lately mainly in bandcamp), so these three releases and a mix (looking forward to the imminent release of Ellen Arkbro’s new work) are the ones I have been listening more in repeat. It’s curious to find myself digging…
Sometimes I just pick on some new albums only due to their artwork cover, that's what happened with ``In A Silent Way`` from Nico Niquo, and in cases like this you end up discovering an amazing album behind it. Which also applies to all the work published by Orange Milk Records (musically and visually). I was highly impressed by the touching melodies and ambients contained in this LP. Dreamy and…
I discovered this album when I was checking out the line up for the up-coming event ``The Long Now`` (on April 25, 2017 at Kraftwerk - Berlin), and I suddenly fell in love with this long hour of up-lifting sounds. I particularly enjoy the mixture of cultural influences, like the arabic chants that somehow remind me also to Spanish flamenco, at least in its roots. Live At Issue Project Room…
